Minutes - October 27, 2009

Omaha Camera Club met at  the Omaha Home for Boys, in the Wurdeman Learning Center, 4343 N 52nd St., 6:30 pm.  Twenty eight members and one guest present.

Gary Prill found free image rescue software of the web for both Windows and Mac.  It may be found on our web site under the documents and files heading.  Thanks Gary.

Lee Fenicle presented a "how to" on depth of field.  If you wish to find a detailed chart that is camera specific, go to, dofmaster.com/doftable.html.

Thank you Lee, very informative.

Sandy Wentworth presented a photo dictionary book she produced as an assignment for her K-3rd grade art class.  Each student was given five words to convert into digital images; turned in as prints, email or on a digital chip.  Sandy ended up with 160 images and a 79 page book.  The students had a great time and are looking forward to the next art class assignment.  Thanks Sandy.

Gary Prill continued the series - How the club web site works.  He also gave us a brief lesson on how to use the layer mask found in Elements 8.  Thanks Gary.

Jeff Bane is managing the smugmug galleries for the club.  Questions, add images, etc. please contact Jeff.  Thanks Jeff.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Susan Baxter
